Why Not?

Why should people have to censor their thoughts? What is so wrong about people thinking differently? Why is there a common fear of expressing one's views and facing rejection. The mere notion that someone might stand alone against a mob of people because of different ideals doesn't characterize a loner, but more of a hero. The people who we all know as revolutionaries stood alone and lead thousands of people. Perhaps that's what the mobs are afraid of, that one different ideal will create a ripple effect and make more and more people stand up for said ideal. Why not just stand up for your idea? Why not scream it from the roof tops? Why not be proud of standing alone? Why not?
